The legendary Roots Crew has developed to become one of the most famous and well-respected hip hop acts in the musical world, winning four Grammys, including Best R&B Album for 'Wake Up!’, Best Traditional R&B Vocal Performance for 'Hang in There’ (with John Legend) and Best Group or Duo R&B Vocal Performance for 'Shine’. This brings the number of Grammy nominations for the band to twelve. In addition, 'The Roots Picnic’, an annual mix of musicians featuring various big stars, has become a celebrated institution. The Roots were named by Rolling Stone as one of the best live bands and are the official house-band of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
